Text: ‘Dinosaurs and all that Rubbish’, By Michael Foreman

In English this week we will continue with our class text ‘Dinosaurs and all that rubbish.’ We will be orally retelling the story which will help us to create a story map and then write it. Just like Michael Foreman, we will also be illustrating our writing!

SHINE Outside Session 

Jasmine PE– This term’s focus is RealGym. This week, the children will be learning and practising a range of different shapes that they can make and hold with their bodies. We will be practising these this week on low equipment such as benches. 

Science – This week, we are continuing our science topic of Marvellous Materials. We will be exploring the properties of different materials by using words to describe such as ‘bendy’, ‘ rigid’, ‘smooth’. 

R+WV – “Why are some stories special?”
This week, we are going to explore the Islamic story of The Night Of Power.

Art – We are going to explore the style of Tingatinga and take inspiration from this to create our own ‘hot scenes’. We will be comparing and contrasting these images to our cold scenes that we created last week and thinking about how the colours used impact the feel of the artwork. 

PSHE – Dreams and Goals

We are thinking about teamwork and the challenges we might face when working as a team and how we could overcome them.
